Lars Stromayer Wooden things lend a sense of warmth and natural beauty to our lives. I’ve always been attracted to wood, and I take great joy in making wooden furniture and crafts, whether for myself or others. Each log or board is unique, with its own attributes and imperfections. I find that many times the imperfections are opportunities for creativity, and preservation of the original character of the tree. Acquiring logs and supervising their milling gives me the chance to incorporate whole slabs into my designs, and I feel good about using wood attained locally. Remember, that piece you’re looking at may have come from your neighbor’s yard, or across town. I hope everyone can find something pleasing in my work. If you have a certain space that needs just the right piece, we can design one together. Sometimes, you can even pick out the wood! |
